Eligibility for admission to TNVASU Chennai

Candidates who are applying for B.V.Sc & A.H./B.F.Sc/ B.Tech (Food Processing Technology)/ B.Tech (Poultry Production Technology) degree courses should have passed HSC (10+2) / CBSE / other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto with the marks as prescribed below

Biology or Zoology and Botany, OC/BC/BCM 60%, MBC/DNC 55%, SC/SCA/ST Pass

Chemistry and Physics taken together, OC/BC/BCM 60%, MBC/DNC 55%, SC/SCA/ST Pass

Aggregate of Biology or Zoology and Botany, Chemistry and Physics should not be less than, OC 75%, BC/BCM 65%, MBC/DNC 60%, SC/SCA/ST Pass

Vocational Stream

Biology; OC/BC/BCM 60%, MBC/DNC 55%, SC/SCA/ST Pass

Vocational Subjects B.V.Sc & A.H.-Poultry/Dairying only, B.F.Sc-Fisheries only (Theory, Practical I and Practical II taken together), OC/BC/BCM 60%, MBC/DNC 55%, SC/SCA/ST Pass

Aggregate of Biology, Vocational Subjects should not be less than, OC 70%, BC/BCM 65%, MBC/DNC 60%, SC/SCA/ST Pass

Vocational stream candidates will be considered in B.V.Sc & A.H. and B.F.Sc degree courses only against the seats reserved for them

The maximum number of attempts made in passing the qualifying examination is limited to three for SC/ST candidates and two for others

Improvements made in marks of HSC / equivalent examination of any year will not be considered for the purpose of admission.

Age Limit Candidates should not have completed the age as on 01st July, 2015

SC/ST-no age limit; others-21 years

No relaxation of age limit is permissible on any grounds

Selection Procedure Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the HSC/equivalent examination as per the Govt orders

How to Apply TNVASU Chennai Admissions 2015

Application forms are to be submitted only online through website www.tanuvas.ac.in/ugadmission

Candidates may fill in and submit applications online at www.tanuvas.ac.in/ugadmission, on or before 4th June 2014

Payment can be made in any of the three ways Debit Cards, Credit Cards or through Internet Banking in the payment gateway

Candidate should ensure that correct amount of online application fee is paid before submitting the applications. The following fee is to be paid:

One Course Rs 600/- (Rs 300/- for SC/SCA/ST)
Two Courses Rs 1200/- (Rs 600/- for SC/SCA/ST)
Three Courses Rs 1800/- (Rs 900/- for SC/SCA/ST)
Four Course Rs 2400/- (Rs 1200/- for SC/SCA/ST)

Candidates applying online should also take the printout of the filled in and submitted applications and send the same along with attested copies of required documents/certificates to the Chairman, Admission Committee (UG), Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai, Tamilnadu-600051

Candidates may apply for a single course, two courses or all the three courses, through a single application, provided they have paid the application fees accordingly

Important Notes for Candidates 

15% of seats are reserved for candidates selected by Veterinary Council of India

Admission subject to approval of Veterinary Council of India

No of seats in each of these colleges is likely to be increased to 60, on approval by the Government of Tamilnadu.

Applications received after the prescribed due date and time will not be considered on any account.
