Duration of the Courses
B.Tech degree course will be completed over a period of 4 years consisting of 8 semesters
B.Tech (LET) courses will be completed over a period of 3 years consisting of 6 semesters
MCA course will be completed over a period of 3 years consisting of 6 semesters
M.Tech course will be completed over a period of 2 years consisting of 4 semesters
Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech / B.Tech (LET), MCA and M.Tech As per Calicut University / AICTE & Government of Kerala Norms
Relaxation in Marks
B.TECH Candidates belonging to socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) / Persons with Disabilities (PD) category candidates with a total annual family income not exceeding Rs.6 lakhs are eligible for a relaxation of 5 marks in the qualifying exam. The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination.
MCA Candidates belonging to socially and Educationally Backward Classes as defined by the Govt., with a total annual family income not exceeding Rs.6 lakhs, are eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates a pass in examination is sufficient.
M.TECH Candidates belonging to socially and Educationally Backward Classes as defined by the Govt., with a total annual family income not exceeding Rs.6 lakhs, 5% relaxation in marks will be allowed in the case of SEBC candidates.
For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree Course in sufficient.
Eligibility for NRI Seats (B.Tech Only) The criteria for qualifying exam remaining the same as above, NRI candidates are exempted from appearing in KEAM – 2015.
How to Apply VAST Admissions 2015
Online application will be started from 05 April 2015 onwards through the college website www.vidyaacademy.ac.in on remittance of Rs.500/- towards application & Prospectus fee. (Plus 2 mark list and KEAM 2015 Admit Card should be uploaded with ONLINE application.)
Candidate can also apply through printed application form which can be obtained from the college or city office at Thrissur (Sun Tower Building, East Fort) by remitting an amount of Rs.500/- towards application and Prospectus fee.
Allotment of Management Seats & Admission
B.Tech
All applications received up to the notified date will be considered for allotment of seats.
Candidates will be ranked based on their marks in KEAM – 2015 and for PCM in the qualifying exam and the Vidya rank list will be declared and posted on the website, notice boards etc by 05th June 2015.
Students and parents are advised to visit college web site regularly after publication of rank lists for daily status of vacancy position and counseling dates. Counseling for seat allotment and admission will be held in the college on 11th & 12th June 2015.
Parents/Guardian should accompany the candidates appearing for counseling.
All original documents and complete fees for the first year are to be deposited by the candidates at the time of admission.

B.TECH (LET), MCA & M.TECH
Allotment of management seats will be on the same lines followed for B Tech. Notification will be given separately in case separate instructions are received from Entrance Commissioner & Director of Technical education, Govt. of Kerala.
